Plant-dyed, South African yarns
All of our wool is locally sourced, and dyed using post-consumer waste. Think avocado peels (which make pink!) and coffee grounds. Our wools are sustainable, delightful, and beautiful.

Cederberg (tea), Muizenberg (black beans), Namaqua (onion skins), Cape Point (black beans), Tsitsikamma (onion skins and black beans), Montague (avocado pits), Tankwa (coffee)
That's all of them! We like to keep our number of colours small so we can focus on keeping the quality and vibrancy high (a difficult thing to do with naturally dyed yarn).
All colours come in DK, single-ply, and 4ply weight yarn. All skeins cost R250 a piece with a retailer discount on bulk orders.
Place an order by emailing me at laura@wildestwool.com. Free shipping in South Africa for all orders over R1000. International shipping will be quoted on the order.
Speaking of: Hi, I'm Laura! I'm the person behind this operation (with my brother, Herman, doing some of the grunt work like building the website and finding me onion skins!). I'm a knitter of things and have made it my personal mission to outfit all of the people around me with the coziest knitwear possible.
Love,
Laura (and Herman)
